Verse
Try to confuse me but they never knew me. They’re swinging I’m ducking their jabs.
Knowing I’m knocking out all of this math cause I got it just give me the task.
Tell em to test me. I’m nice with these numbers. Come see me. Don’t put up the cash.
Shocking em all cause I came back and no one can stop me or hold me.
So give me that work. I’m a take off.
Quick like a driver with breaks off.
Typical try to distract me.
Mentally make em all fade off.
Work through this math like I’ll never stop.
Grind to the top while they try to block.
Winning is for me. I’m major. They on me.
Keep going. They debate to hate or support me.
Regardless, the numbers they drop. Simple or not. I got these problems on lock.
Operations in the bag. Subtract then I add, divide, multiply do the math.
Focus on us never sleep. We’re scholar deep. Options we got em for keeps.
We do it big we do nothing petite.
Line up that work not a problem for me.
Half of yaw doubt me. I know that yaw stuntin
20% got my back and I love it.
30% know I can but they frontin
I’m a just ask you to keep it 100.

Verse
I got some decimal numbers I must divide
You know I start it off by making a division sign
Always put my dividend in the inside
Locate my divisor and I put it outside
Move my divisor decimal to the right
Every place value till there’s no more on the right
Move my dividend decimal the same amount of times
To the right. Place the decimal right above the line
Then divide keep my mind on the quotient
Stay away from haters cause they hate to see me focused
See I got my answer if you’re nosy you should notice
Quote this, I’ve been a scholar you should know this
Hook
You got a problem you should solve it. I ain’t stressing you
But keep it moving I’m dividing with these decimals
You got a problem you should solve it. I ain’t stressing you
But keep it moving I’m dividing with these decimals
Ah-yo!

Mrs. Finney - Line Em Up
02:39
|

Hook
Line em up, Line em up
Adding with these decimals I line em up
Line em up, Line em up
Subtracting with these decimals I line em up
Verse
Two numbers with a decimal I got em
Line em up one on top one on bottom
Adding with these decimals I line em up
Subtracting with these decimals I line em up
Line em up, I put my tens in the tens place
Then I put my ones in the ones place
I put my tenths in the tenths place
Then I put my hundredths in the hundredths place and so on
I fill my blanks up with these zeros
Gotta fill my blanks up with these zeros
You know I fill my blanks up with these zeros
Watch me add and subtract till I get it done

Mrs. Finney - Hold Up
02:34
|
|||
Hook
I gotta add these fractions
Break it down let me show them what’s happening
Hold up let me make sure they have the same denominators then I’m gonna get right back to adding (x3)
Verse
Any time my denominators different
I’m looking for that LCM till I get it
Turn that LCM into my new denominator
Make equivalent fractions to get my numerator
I take my numerators then I add them up (x2)
Keep my denominator as my LCM (x2)
When I get my sum I make it hotter than the summer
Blazing through this work the more I work the more I come up
I’m adding fractions this is something that I breeze through
Check my answer simplify it if I need to
I gotta add these fractions
Break it down let me show them what’s happening
Hold up let me make sure they have the same denominators then I’m gonna get right back to adding

Verse
I plot the point and never falling off track
Came a long way and I’m never going back
So anytime I hear a little thing about a coordinate plane
I make a point to break it down with all facts.
Check my perpendicular lines for the action.
Me and my homies know em better as the axes.
Anytime I travel left to right I’m moving on the x-axis.
If it’s up and down, I’m on the y-axis whoa!
Move like Dora I’m exploring this.
They criss-cross in the middle at the origin.
My x-axis has an x-coordinate and my y-axis has a y-coordinate. Bet.
Find the x-coordinate. First due respect.
After that, find the y-coordinate next.
Make the two meet. Plot the point double check.
Make the ordered pair where they connect.
Depend on where I plot it, it’ll fall inside of one of four quadrants.
Finding out which one I put it in you know I got it.
Top right quadrant one, top left two, bottom left three, bottom right quadrant four. See
I was busy learning never burning time in school Bruh.
Ask my teacher if you don’t believe me. I’ve been cool Bruh.
Plotting on this knowledge that’s what’s happening. This coordinate plane knowledge I’m the captain. Yeah.
Hook
Things change but some stay the same.
Keep it simple and plain with my coordinate plane.

Mrs. Finney - Fill It Up
02:46
|
|||
Verse
Fill it up volume
Make sure my formulas right
Rectangular prism volume, length times the width times the height
Dealing with a cube, man you know how we do we can do that with s cube
Make my next move my best move, fill it up, fill it up, let me show you what the rest do
Cone one-third pi r squared h
Cylinder pi r squared h
Volume of pyramid, one-third of b h
Working with a sphere, get the volume, four-third times pi
Times r to the third, put your hands up high!

Mrs. Finney - How I Rock
02:14
|
|||
Verse
Try to get me dizzy with these circles.
Better let em know I got em.
Getting the circumference never ever been my problem.
First I find the radius from the center of my circle.
Then from there it’s the distance to the edge of my circle.
Better let em know the symbol pi approximately 3.14 every single time.
So my circumference is 2 times pi times radius.
It’s nothing to play with this is me being major
Haters jocking my circumference.
Hook
They tried to take me round in circles. Watch me show em how I rock.
They tried to take me round in circles. Watch me show em how I rock.
Let’s go!

Mrs. Finney - Get At Me
03:15
|
|||
Hook
I got the formula. Get at me. Want the area of circle, just ask me.
Yup.
Can you put it in a rap please?
Yup.
While I rock to this hot beat.
(x3)
Verse
Two ways we can get it either way we get it.
First way we get it with the radius.
Area of circle equals pi times r squared. Raise the roof high.
See some hands down. Tell em put their hands up.
Second way we get it with diameter.
Area of circle equals one fourth times pi times d squared of course.

Keep hustling determined unstoppable dreamers conquer math (x2)
Verse
My metric system comes in hand for my liter meter gram
For any of these key units, I can put a prefix to it
Kilo, hecto, deka, key unit
Deci, centi, milli that’s how we do it
Kilo, hecto, deka, key unit
Deci, centi, milli
Everytime I move my decimal to the right, I multiply by 10 alright
When I move my decimal to the left, I divide by 10 oh yes
My metric system comes in hand for my liter meter gram
For any of these key units, I can put a prefix to it
Kilo, hecto, deka, key unit
Deci, centi, milli that’s how we do it

Hook
See everybody wants a winner so they try to get me
From every single angle they be coming at me
See everybody wants a winner so they try to get me
From every single angle they be coming at me
See everybody wants a winner so they try to get me
From every single angle they be coming at me
See everybody wants a winner so they try to get me
Verse
Sum of complementary angles equal 90
Sum of supplementary angles be 180
Knowing these adjacent angles always share their vertex and a side
Always stay side by side everyday all the time
See these vertical angles share the same crossed lines
See one, the others on the opposite side
So if one of those angles equal 30, the other ones 30
Ay yo I know you heard me
Hook
From every single angle they be coming at me
See everybody wants a winner so they try to get me

Mrs. Finney - The Why
02:10
|
|||
Verse
In Pre-K, he had a spark fresh start managed to make growth marks on his charts teachers talked candid
Said he had a big heart smiled mild mannered passed to a 3rd grade class with some loose cannons
25 deep, 5 live wires, 1 teacher for protection on her solely he’s relying
Mid-year smile changed to smirk watch his growth collapse
Gotta watch his back, parents yelling, “Get ya focus back.”
Teacher begs for an assistant principal gets back
Said they cut the budget a.k.a yo we too broke for that
It’s only five months left try to cope with that
Broke up a fight and hurt her back and never did come back
Daily subs in heavy rotation, his smirk replaced with daily straight faces
He goes numb to all the changing faces
Passed along from grade to grade even though he lacks
Probably never dropped out if he got that time back
Dang I wish he got that time back.

For the hot head shooting till he gets shot
For the loved ones praying that it all stops
For a child on a mission for a better life
Working hard in the class till he gets it right
For the teachers grading papers on the late night
Working hard even if the pay ain’t right
For the ones on the brink of a way out
Fighting not to fall back down on their way out
Do this for the single parents making ends meet
For the parents working hard every single week
For my husband James Finney down to ride with me
For Adean and Eli and Nesya Finney
